So, this took a little while longer than I thought it would. But as already announced I’m going to show you my room!
At first I need to say that I always wanted to have a girlie-room. I needed to wait really long before I got my room, so I was 19 years old when I started to arrange it. But I didn’t want to abandon on my girlie dreams :)
But now a first overview:
As you can see, the two main colors are white and pink. It makes the room really bright and the room looks even larger than it already is.
But after some time I decided to launch a new color: black. I think this makes a nice contrast!
I wanted to separate the sleeping area from the living area. For that I used my bookshelf as room divider. The motto: There can never be too much books! But I have to admit that there isn’t much room left…
In the back you can see my rocking chair. I got it from my grandmother when I moved into the new room. But I’m really bad at sewing so it’s colors don’t fit into the room at all. But who cares :P
I bought my dresser at Ikea. At first I didn’t dare to think that any furniture store would sell pink furniture, but it was a nice surprise to find one!
You can also see my frog, one of my 4 money boxes. I need to provide for bad times, don’t I?
This is my working desk with one of my favourite pieces in my room: my pinboard! Originally this was a picture frame I bought at the flea market. And I just framed a piece of cork.
You probably already noticed the wall in the back. This was the biggest job in the whole room. I don’t like wallpapers so I decided to paint the pattern with a stencil. This ment to make a grid on the wall and then painting every single ornament. I almost quit after the half wall, but now I love it so much! And every ornament is an unicum :)
You already saw my sideboard in the second photo. Here are some more pictures:
I always have a little problem when I have more than three guests because more do not fit on my sofa. That’s why there are always some seat pads around!
I got this real venetian mask from a friend of mine for my 19th birthday.
My stereo. Indispensable! In this photo you can also see the hadle of the sideboard. Originally they were silver, but I just redyed them. Self do, self have :)
In the end another unicum and favourite of mine: I got this cushion in kindergarden because my sign was the locomotive!
So, that’s it… I hope you liked it :)
Yours,

Love the room! So many fun details- and I LOVE the pinboard in the frame idea. I’m going to have to try that. I have a ton of frames laying around in the garage someone gave me…. now to get some corkboard! Thanks for the idea! :)
