I went to Hamburg last weekend on a sightseeing trip. This was a big chance to soak up the sun because it’s raining all the time here in Vienna. We spent the most time in museums, walking through the city or sitting at the harbor. But one day was reserved for shopping at the Mönckebergstraße where I discovered this cute tea shop:

Eine kleine Botschaft, die man nebenbei zugesteckt bekommt zaubert doch jedem ein Lächeln aufs Gesicht! Und wenn diese Botschaft nicht nur total süß, sondern auch noch zum vernaschen ist, hat man praktisch schon gewonnen.

Bei Typolade kann man seine Texte in Schokolade gießen lassen. Die Buchstaben werden mit Hand gegossen und sind sogar farbig und mit Gold überzogen hergestellt.

I am a big fan of glossy magazines, but this is getting expensive. I found a great online magazine on decor8: Sweet Paul!

Today I found some photos of a tortilla buffet I set up for some of my friends some time ago. The evening was great, but I discovered some small problems…

Advantages:

• Most things can be done beforehand so you can enjoy eating with your friends
• Your guests can decide on their own how they want to fill their tortilla
• Noone will leave the table and be still hungry :)
• You don’t have to think about vegetarians

Disadvantages:

• Cutting the ingredients can take hours…
• It’s hard to calculate how much everyone will eat… (I bought way too much!)
• It’s gonna be a huge mess!

Here is a list of things that I put on the table:
sour cream, cottage cheese, onions, salad, ground meat, corn, tomatoes, beans, celery

If many of your guests are vegetarians soybeans and tofu are delicious ingredients too!
